For the seventh time in succession and as unique as ever: underwater art for all the senses, round the clock, all night long, from Saturday evening to a matinee on Sunday morning. With performances and sounds in the water and on and above the water’s surface, the festival takes place in parallel in the Toskana Therme Bad Sulza, the Toskana Therma Bad Schandau and, for the very first time, in the Therme am Park Bad Nauheim.

The Liquid Sound concept has spawned its own unique culture which matures and grows finer with each year. Water-savvy artists develop works that address all the sense of the bathing public. Times loses importance, sounds and images arise, dreams in water begin. For connoisseurs of contemplative bathing without doubt one of the most lavish nights of the year.

In the Toskana Therme Bad Sulza – Saturday 8th November, 7 p.m.

  • 4 p.m. : The festival begins with a mermaid programme for kids. Fairytale artists Rosenrot and mermaid team in their fantastic garments invite children into teh world of water beings. What this looks like can be viewed here.
  • Kagermann & Rainbow Serpent, a fantastic duet – water grooves with magical violin and dream electronics. www.kagermann.com and www.rainbow-serpent.de
  • Michael Reimann, Flight music with fairy flutes, keyboards and water instruments www.acronmusic.de
  • DJ Noxlay, cool sounds in warm water www.noxlay.net
  • VJN Juladi conjures up images and makes sounds visible. Mixing images captured from the moment with visual snippets, she creates a mélange of atmospheres, light effects, music and observations which fuse sound and image into a sensual whole. Through her search for traces, she uncovers extra-ordinary images, undiscovered viewpoints and hidden treasures. www.myspace.com/juladi

  • Surprise activities may occur with Mermaid movements in the Therme and Chispita’s Fire performance.
  • Sunday morning, 8 a.m.: Welcome the ney day with an Aqua Wellness session, led by Musia Heike Bus and team from the the Institute for Aqua Wellness www.liquidbodywork.com
  • Final matinee on Sunday, 9th November, 10 a.m. with Michael Reimann & Friends.

In the Toskana Therme Bad Schandau – Saturday 8th November, 7 p.m.

  • Sessão, the band with Brazilian flair – sun, soul, warmth, passion, pulsating rhythms and harmonies that get under the skin. www.sessao.de
  • [micro:from] alias Stachy. The Dresden based artist takes you on an ambient journey covering electrinic and organic sound. The performance fuses DJ-ing and live-act. Micriphones placed in the Therme record the sounds of water and the environment - the bathing audience is invited to interact acoustically with the sound performance, only Here and only Now at Toskana Therme Bad Schandau. www.stachy.dj
  • Michael Brux alias VJ Videoking from Hamburg supports the nocturnal voyage with his visuals in the Therme. His moving images will illumine the music and the night of the festival, also imvolving the dome projection in the Liquid Sound Temple and the spray fog projection at the banks of river Elbe. www.vj-hamburg.com
  • For a surprise inbetween: fireperformance with Flammendiva. www.flammendiva.de

Festival Ticket for the Toskana Therme Bad Sulza or Bad Schandau: 20 €
valid for two visits any time between 3 p.m. on Saturday 8th November to 3 p.m. on Sunday 9th November

Deep-night-free-entrance: Deep night bathers in the Toskana Therme bathe free between 2 a.m. and 4 a.m. during the night of the festival.

And for those who wish to drop by for a few hours, regular entrance prices apply as always – no need to book in advance.
